Anybody know for sure what will happen to my NON grandfathered clients who have riders/exclusions on them and whose policy renews sometime in 2014 and is required to conform to Obamacare?

Will the rider/exclusion be removed at time of renewal?

YAgents,
Everything that I found stated that current health insurance plans will be cancelled and replaced with new ones that contain NO exclusion riders. It's like the health insurance version of being resurrected. "Born again" without any impurities. (Just a sky-high premium.)

None of the government websites seem to address your question, but several benefit advisor newsletters and state insurance websites say that all non-GF individual major medical will be cancelled and reissued.

Allen, you are hilarious. What a great analogy!

YAgents, it is my understanding that the current policy is not simply "upgraded" at renewal in 2014, but completely replaced with a QHB, which specifically prohibits waivers or rate-ups for medical conditions.
