Oklahoma
I used to sell health and have been out of that for about 5 years. I was checking to see if anyone has any ideas on what's good for the price in Oklahoma?

Tulsa area sort of....

Okay nothing's hot on the health market in Oklahoma; let's try what's hot in health NEARBY Oklahoma? Anything?

Back in the day Blue Cross used to be a beeatch to sell against; still that way?

If you are looking for a good limited benefit plan, and working for a career agency, Physicians Mutual has a fairly good one, and, not much over-saturation in OK, so they may have some good leads around there for you.

Brokerage, call any number of brokerage houses in Dallas and ask around. I know of one in Tyler as well. OK is probably under-worked I would guess.
{ I know of a brokerage in MO as well. You've got plenty of options around you there.}

That's very helpful from both; thank you. The market has obviously changed a lot over the years since I've been out of it.

Physician's Mutual I marketed many years ago, it was a bit stodgy seems like though solid. Am. Med. Security doesn't show, nor does CGI, or many of the old names. Seems like Aetna, BC (as usual), Humana, Coventry etc....

I guess I should have a health product; any strong feelings from anybody out there on these carriers???:huh:

That was kind of funny- you gotta admit it.

I'll dig a little deeper and see whassup in the biz since I left and how these companies operate.

Thanx for the "humor," and trust me, I'm fine with making a living above the Red River.:twitchy:

I agree there are a lot of agents in north TX. What ever happened to the LIMRA report that says that there aren't near as many agents as there used to be? Looks to me like I've got lots of competition on both the life and health side.

I still have my CGI appointment but you are correct, they are pretty much done writing it, not competitive. Look at "World" in Omaha. US Health is still around, writing the Dallas area stuff, such as NFL. Believe it or not, they are trying to revamp American Republic of Des Moines, but more of a "career agency" type situation. American Medical Security is still around, eams.com
