Which Captive Agents Write Outside Business

Would anyone know which Captive Agent contracts allow their agents to write outside business.

State Farm... Absolutely NO

Allstate ?
Nationwide ?
Shelter Insurance ?
American Family ?

Farmers Insurance Group ? Ive heard that the new contract restricts writing any outside business even it dosn't qualify under their underwriting quidelines. The old contract did allow the agents to place business with other carriers.

I am with New York Life, and I am appointed with 20+ companies.

I believe Allstate does, but it might be regional (at least for homeowners). Farmers does, unless there is a new contract that I haven't heard about. They bought Bristol West, so they don't allow outside auto anymore.
