Hi,
I'm a agent and I have some pilot friends who are looking for some individual disability insurance. I called around to a few companies but they will not insure pilots. So does anyone know of any companies that offer individual DI to pilots?? I needs some help. Thanks

I am not sure if Mutual of Omaha offers such coverage now, but if not I know we have a plan that is far better than just disability insurance - Loss of License which covers a pilot if medically they are not allowed to fly (but could physically). Subtle, but to a pilot a very important distinction. Check with your local disability specialist wholesalers for either of these options.

I would check with Ohio National. Last I heard, their CEO is a licensed pilot, and are warm to experices pilots as risks (at least on the life insurance side).

As a brokerage specialist in the disability field I can confirm the only companies that will offer DI protection to commercial pilots is Lloyd’s of London.
