..funny thing is someone replied to make post with "someone asked the same question in the general forum" so I came looking and found no other than KAT! no luck for me yet...although I've gotten alot of great info here, so hopefully we'll get something soon!

In TX one of the only carriers that will cover wind hail for coastal risks is Metlife Auto/Home but they are not competitive with TWIA.

You could try insurance market intelligence....imicompany dot com. Pretty good resource for FL stuff and I know they also handle all the southeastern states.
