Is it illegal to work at another full time job that is not causing your disability according to your view(in this case anxiety and depression) while collecting short term disability, whether your doctor knows about it or not?

Read your policy. more than likely it has something in there about working while being on STD. I'm pretty sure working a full time job while being on STD is a big no-no, and constitutes insurance fraud.

I would bet they would catch wind of your working and come after you for paid out claims--working while claiming you cannot and being on DI claim is fraud. If you are able to work, why would you go on claim in the first place?
