I need a new personal email address as the old one is spamed out. I want something other than my service provider one so if I change providers I don't have to move everyone each time.

What is the best FREE internet email? Who has the best spam filter?

Can't decide to go with yahoo or gmail- any other recomendations to this?
Thanks!

Pay the money to get a real email address if this is for business use.

If truly personal, I have used gmail since it hit the street. Nothing impressive and seems to draw spam like a hooker on 7th avenue.

I never get spam in my gmail. Probably because I don't give it out to small fmo's who sell your contact info, or who feel the need to constantly bombard you about nothing so you can't help but think of them.

Of course, I think of them every time they send me an e-mail. I think "what an a-hole."

Gmail and Google Calendar. Have used them both since they originally beta'd and they work great for me at home or on the road.

Professional? It's not like Google or Yahoo or Hotmail are disreputable. I sell insurance, not cyberfluff, I have a website so I could use my domain name in my email, but I don't. I havd generally established credibility before the client even knows my email address and NO Client has ever questioned that I use Gmail. Many of them are already on or going to web based email and I suspect in the future most will use web based email and apps.

I absolutely love gmail for personal. If it's for work, you should get your own .com. If you're tech savvy you can actually use gmail to manage your own .com e-mail accounts.

Really?

I've had the exact opposite experience.

It's fantastic about filtering out spam.

Plus if you have a professional email addy, you can set it up so can use that account thru Gmail.

If anything, Gmail is over aggressive in filtering out spam. If you want a spam magnet, try Yahoo.

Like most here.

I have a domain address for business. A gmail for personal. I also have a couple yahoo accounts for those times I have to enter an email address to get info from someone. Mostly a throw away account.
