2021 AHIP...

ahip says there are many different review questions.. so not the same??

The 20 review questions of the first sections of AHIP are word for word on the final.

For Medicare Fraud and Waste, a simple Google search found the questions online in flashcard format with all of the answers.

You're in a highly regulated sector. Either accept it's part of doing business or don't sell it.

That's a harsh reply to someone who is just stating the obvious.

I agree with OG that this is a huge waste of time every year. It wouldn't be as bad if you didn't have to repeat the same information for every carrier. We were promised that AHIP would alleviate some of this, but the carriers continue to include the same information as AHIP every year. Just because we accept that it's part of doing business doesn't mean we have to like it.

You call it harsh, I call it reality.

We do things every day that we don't like. Do you bitch about every single thing all day long? If so.. that's pretty sad.

You are a business owner, like it or not. Once a year, you have to spend a day completing education on repetitive information.

It's still better than having to deal with what a lot of other business owners have to deal with.

I wouldn't agree with that. I took it last year and it was a bit of a PITA... BUT, I also didn't pay any attention to the review questions.

Trying to find answers back and forth definitely wasn't easy... However, this year I paid more attention and the review questions and it was a breeze.

Last year was tough, In fact the toughest year, few questions could have been either of 2 answers and 1 was outright wrong, This year was much easier more like normal maybe even easier

It keeps the competition from saturating the market it makes newer agents learn the rule,

I don't find it that bad, Annoying but not hard, and worth it to keep some of the fly by nights out

I decided to only sign up for two carriers.

Priority Health has a really great MA plan. I had to do a tele class as part of the cert.. there was a lot of "this is could be on the test" and review questions.

I had it on as background noise and had no issues passing.

Aetna hasn't even contacted me about my appointment.. and their plan is slightly worse.

Remember though MA is a lot different than Med Supp

It's not always about the best benefits, Sometimes its network, Sometimes drug cost, Sometimes The prospect hates a company for some reason or another, Or only interested in what betty down the block has, A number of other factors as well

It's good to have a few of the top choices
