40% rate increase in IL

new product, due out this summer, is between ACE and Integrity.

A private label plan? So ACE/Chubb won't be offering a "direct" product for non-Integrity agents?

I don't care because I have not offered ACE and no plans to change direction, just curious.

Integrity is about to go into the insurance business.

And take part of the risk? That isn't odd but doesn't make them a carrier.

Looking back 10 years, it is interesting to see carriers that have seemingly disappeared from the landscape. Here are a few . . .

State Mutual
Manhattan
Equitable L&C
Combined
GCU
TransAm
UCT
CSI
Pekin
Farm Bureau
Companion
Heartland
CSO
Americo
Sterling
Colonial Penn
GPM
Gerber

Pretty sure all belong in the Medigap graveyard

Feel free to update by adding or correcting the list.

Dang! When you see the list it's kind of scary.

Really not sure and my rep couldn't say much.

The term letter I got was from Chubb and effective in July. Most term letters I've seen are usually 30 day letters.

Don't know if it will be private label, TPA or what. All my rep would say is that it will be completely different.

Lincoln Heritage

Careful selection at time of enrollment is helpful.

Of course you have to remember this . . . MEDIGAP carriers are not subsidized with taxpayer money.
I have signed my clients up with 60% of these companies listed. I have found them even when termed they are still not raising rates as high as companies who are still going.

You need to add RNA and KSKJ. They both had a Medicare supplement.
And ForeThought
And Pyramid
And United Teachers
And Great American
