Aetna agents work for free

Quite a few carriers will not recognize AOR during the first 12 policy months.

And I earn ALL of my business . . . including AOR.

Just took one over with Humana that will pay me all of $7 per month in commission.

As for online sales, well again, all my sales are over the phone & online. Guess I give good phone.

I have mixed emotions.

I'm adding about one AOR every three months from clients who thought they were buying coverage from me, and somehow ended up with someone else. Sometimes EHEALTH, and sometimes not.

But I do agree about the relative who suddenly gets in the business and wants a free ride. He (or she) will be out of the business within a few years anyway.

Potentially off base question :swoon:
How do I use the AOR form to reclaim a client. Where do I get one?

This is not always the case, particularly with online sales and no face to face interaction. I have cases I have spent hours on end working to get someone approved and when "cousin bob" gets a life / health license here comes the AOR request.

I think the fair approach is to lock the original agent for a year - after that with the customers written request maybe it should be fair game. There are a lot of "trolling" agents out there begging for AOR which blows my mind.

I don't know if I have ever requested an AOR in my career - I prefer to earn the business or sell them something else ;)

The trolls want our precious:no:
