I'm considering AMS360 and want to see if anyone here uses it and how they feel about the system. Any input is appreciated.

Also, I'm sure most of us are aware of vertafore's variable pricing. How much of a set up fee did they charge you?

BTW I know there's a lot of threads about this already. I just want more recent input. Thanks.

We use the system in our agency. We do mainly P&C, health, and life. We still do not use it to its fullest potential but we have been able to get rid of rows and rows of filing cabinets and digitize all of our files into the system. We still keep a hard copy of apps but notes, dec pages and the like get scanned directly into the system. It's really handy in that regard. As far as pricing, I honestly cannot remember how much we pay per user, but I do know we recently dropped down to just two login users and the admin login. We are not a big office so we share the login user among us which saves a little money.
I will say that if you do decide to go with them I recommend doing some type of training with vertafore on the front end to learn the system rather than trying to learn it on the fly and playing catch up like I have.

Thanks for the input. The functionality of the system looks great. How long have you been using it?

I thought they included training as a part of the set up fee. Do you remember how much you had to pay as a down payment?

We have had it in place for I want to say between 4 and 5 years. We had a couple of people trained in the beginning and neither are the most tech savvy/computer literate. The biggest thing is that as a program it can simply do so much that it is hard to retain all of the info pertaining to ins and outs of the system. One of the biggest hurdles for us was getting it set up correctly. I was not a part of the initial set up rather I came in later on and corrected and streamlined a fair amount of the system. I have no idea what our down payment was, I'll check records in the morning. I do know it is not a cheap system to have but like I said earlier the documentation retention has already saved us a time or two on we said/they said issues.

I just received a proposal from them, and they want to charge a hefty 8k in setup fees. Applied Epic is a similar system and I negotiated them down to 2800 in a setup fee. Both systems are very similar in functionality. You may want to look at both options and then make a decision.
