Another Look at Equitable

I specialize in dealing with liars.

----------

I see what you did there. But not when it takes 30 mins for a phi. How long dies the phi take with equitable.

It's not short when they take lots of meds. I haven't used them for FE, but I recently did a POS on a man and wife that take lots of meds and it took about an hour. It was a 3 way phone call and the wife had to call her Dr. to ask him a question during the interview. They're already clients. I was moving them from another carrier.

I've had them as quick as 10-15 minutes if healthy with few meds.

Yeah.. Diabetes and kidney problems are also a KO.. They amde a misstatement in the webinar today.

They've made a couple of statements in their HI webinar that differs from what it says in the brochure.

So they're doing this specifically for agents who want to sell over the phone? How many agents on here are exclusively doing FE via phone? Just curious.

You can do the phone app face face or with a three way conversation. The ones I have done were face to face.. BTW, if you do the phone app, you do not have to send in a paper app like some companies require with a know before you go PHI.

In Illinois we have to send in a signed replacement form and a signed checklist on a Med Supp. Slows the process down. It's quicker to do it face to face, but if you're not in a hurry to get paid it saves some driving.

They still don't have the voice signature for the replacement in Illinois?..I thought they had it everywhere you could do the phone app.

No, still have to have the client sign both. Even on the online express app, they still have to sign the checklist. The checklist is a state specific required form comparing current supplement to replacing supplement.

For some reason I did not realize how liberal EL&C (albeit high) standard rate was. The answer to any or all 4 of these questions can be yes and they still qualify for immediate coverage at the standard rate. For example, I wrote a lady that had had an amputation due to diabetes within the prior 6 months.. Put it with Settlers on the Bronze plan. I could have gotten her an immediate benefit with Equitable for about $6.00 less per month.

1. In the past 2 years, have you ever been diagnosed, been told you have, treated or prescribed medication by a member of the medical profession for Parkinson's disease, cirrhosis of the liver, chronic hepatitis or any other liver disease or disorder?

2. In the past 3 years, have you been diagnosed, been told you have, treated or prescribed medication by a member of the medical profession for complications of diabetes including amputation, eye or kidney problems, insulin shock or diabetic coma?

3. In the past 2 years, have you been diagnosed, been told you have, treated or prescribed medication by a member of the medical profession for heart bypass, angioplasty (balloon procedure), stent placement, heart valve disorder, heart attack, angina (chest pain) or coronary artery disease?

4. In the past 2 years, have you been diagnosed, been told you have, treated or prescribed medication by a member of the medical profession for emphysema, chronic bronchitis that is not seasonal or any other chronic respiratory condition or lung problem, excluding allergies or asthma?

First day coverage Americo UP2 for amputation that same day!!!

I notice one of the first posts said "standard"? Their Preferred Plan rates are good and you can write a decent amount of people with them. At least we do because our leads knock a lot of the unhealthy ppl.

Their phone interview if you do it properly, is about 12-maybe 15 mins long. You can give a lot of the client info up front like bank info, bene, address etc...

You don't have to send in the app or fill one out so I think the process is pretty sweet.

Once you learn how to use their calculator(which is not hard at all), you can sell any of their products over the phone or 3 way super easily.

If you liked the old Americo Ultra series...this is the exact same app and rates. Americo is the reinsurer on it.

Downsides...they pay o/w's once a month(I like that though) and they aren't close to doing any trips for agents.

But all around they are a great company and very agent friendly.

OH!!! One more thing. You want to get going right away? They have the BEST contracting all online and easy to do. You literally get appointed in 24 hours and can write. Not a just in time contracting. Literally ready to go in 24 hours. PLUS they don't do background checks for contracting for all you who may have some "issues".
