Assurant Health Webinar

I can't begin to post the ways Assurant smokes GR. Far easier application - no money due until the app is approved, don't rider a nose bleed from 2003, etc...

I also remember a day when GR was sneered at....all the way until UHC acquired them. Then all of a sudden they were the Holy Grail of carriers. Not over here. Never bit down. Agents busted on Assurant for the advances but that's the exact reason agents wrote GR. Let's call it what it is.

Now, in all fairness Assurant was very claims review happy and I had to really dig into a health history before I put the app in.

Could not make the conference call. Did they mention the states where the Health Access Plan was selling well?

I see the 32 states it is sold in but I don't see what states Health Access is selling well in. I had heard FL was selling a ton of Health Access.

that is a lie, health fundamentals is doing terrible here
a discount phone room on every corner, people are hip
to the game down here....

I have heard from a reliable source that HA is not selling well, anywhere. It may not survive.

Either agents are getting smarter (or scared to death of lawsuits) or consumers are getting very smart (wouldn't bet on that). Seems like most of the sales they are getting are being made by college kids who should go back to dialing for dollars for the fraternal police (they know not what they are doing).

That plan ain't that cheap in lots of places neither. In AZ for example, you can sell a HA plan for about the same premium as a $5,000 Core Med plan (MOR options). In my view, you would need a 50% or greater reduction in premium to even seriously consider recommending the HA (to avoid E&O issues, license revocation issues, etc.)
