Beware of Agent

There is a fake agent by the name of Mathew Strader who is calling IMO's requesting carriers and mentioning he owns a large agency etc. He is providing fake emails and numbers linked to people not in the business. I finally looked him up in the department of insurance and busted him.

DO NOT CONTRACT OR SHARE INFO WITH HIM!

For what purpose if he is a fake agent? He wouldn't be able to get a contract with any carrier without a license.

We have had a few cases of stolen identities. Old IMO or upline has the license info for a former agent and gets appointed as the former agent. They write a bunch of cases and have the commissions sent to an online bank (not much verification). Then they ghost us. Never appoint anyone unless you have met them in person or by video call. Verify identities.
