Choice Between Two IMOs

Point taken.

My approach in the home relies heavily on the idea that I'm impartial and shop a number of carriers. (yeah, i stole that line from select quote...haha) It's been successful for me.
Obviously in order to have something I've never had before, I'll need to change and do things I've never done before. But its a little nerve racking to change so much.
.

I get that. But the only real reason to go under the million dollar guy is to copy him exactly. So anything you are doing now is irrevelant.

And even though you instinctively think (and most of the rest of us also think) that consumers are looking for the lowest premium, we could be wrong. I've seen many examples where that logic didn't work out.

Buyers are going to buy what makes them feel comfortable and it's not always logical thinking on their part. And in my experience the higher end buyers are MORE motivated by brands, advertising, and positioning of the agent than by logical price comparisons.

I would assume that if the guy is having that level of success, his products are in the ballpark on being competitive. And if he can show you how to get in front of more people and get ink on the paper I would forget about trying to beat Select Quote. Most agents working for Select Quote are probably struggling to make their rent and wouldn't know how to really help anyone with anything more difficult than slinging quotes and see what sticks.
