Companies and underwriting guidelines

472
I have found myself writing mostly Supps lately. Many moons ago I had a chart of what companies will accept certain conditions. Anyone have something like this? The biggest problem I'm running into is denial for a narcotic filled once within a year. I don't remember carriers being this strict.

Thanks

The closest you will come to a "master" guide is via quoting software such as CSG and the other programs.

Carriers will generally update paper underwriting guides every 3 - 5 years and many have an Rx list.

I can't say that I have seen a declination for a one time use. Seems to me there might be more to the story.

Care to name the carrier(s)?

They are very accurate for Med Supps and Final Expense. You plug in the health conditions, meds, height and weight, age, tobacco, etc. It will tell you the rates of the carriers that will take that person.

Not 100% accurate, but always puts you in the ballpark.

I like not having to have to look through every app and UW guide. Well worth $35 a month. I think they have a free trial. I've used it for a couple of years, and can't imagine being without it.

Ace, and Allstate both declined him. Had another guy same companies and declined and Man life. Humana took them both.
