Med Supp Underwriting

They probably report it to Milliman. I have had to go that route with carriers that are squirrely about discusing the reason for the denial.

Your person may have to wait a couple of weeks until the report is updated, but you can be amazed (and sometimes shocked) at what is in there. It isn't unusual to find bogus claims and diagnosis coding or upcoding "errors"

It's amazing how there can be bad information with Milliman and in actual medical records from doctors. Many years ago I was writing some life insurance on my father in law. He was initially declined because his doctor had listed in his medical records that he was diabetic. He wasn't on any medication to treat diabetes so the insurance company considered him an untreated diabetic. Turns out he had some blood work that showed he was at the high end of normal for his A1C and the doctor decided to code him as diabetic. A follow up test showed his A1C to be normal. We had to contact the doctor and have him correct his records.

Depending on important details like when was the pacemaker implanted, any battery changes, how many meds for the diabetes, is he or she on a blood thinner, any heart meds, any complications from diabetes etc. etc. etc. this does not have to be a difficult case to write.

Really? Please who does any Diabetes heart Combo please list them
At least a few years ago it was a knockout for everyone

If this has changed this will be a game changer for me

I have tons of people with metformin and a stent, or a pace maker, or an arrythmia

all kinds of situations and some of them minor

But I have not been able to find a carrier to take any once the combo is there, But I have not even tired in 5 years so if this has changed I need to know

I placed a lady with diabetes and a stent with Humana Achieve.

I've placed pacemaker cases easier than some stent cases. Look on Toolkit for direction.
