Contracts with Carrier

Greetings, for the purpose of getting my agency contracted with a carrier, would I be using the NPN that was assigned to my entity or my individual NPN?

I've been selling Medicare plans for two years now, and have been doing so as an individual producer. I recently formed an LLC, obtained my state's business entity producer license and would like to do business through my LLC.

When I reached out to my manager about revising my contract and asking her this question, she had no clue what I was talking about......which then leads me to think I do not know what I am talking about, lol!

Any info on this type of situation would be greatly appreciated, TIA!

Get your agency contracted with the carriers and then have commissions assigned to the agency.

You write your own personal biz under your agent number as an LOA agent (Licensed Only Agent). That pays the commissions to your agency. Just ask any insurance companies contracting department about it and they can help you.

Ask Nick Koustis. He has helped so many of my agents. (I have close to 400) His # is 727-683-1189 or his email is nkoustis@nishd.com .. Tell him Chad from LinkedIn sent you

Why ask him when much more experienced (and actual agents) can tell you here (and has)?

For the original poster, it is simple. You will contract as a business entity with the companies. You will assign all commissions to your company. Your company gets paid and you will get your money from your company. You will not get a 1099 from the company as an individual, you will get the 1099 for your company. It is up to you to 1099 or W2 yourself. Simple as that.

Some people love it when a guy blows smoke up your a** and acts fake all the time, etc. I like a more down to earth person who knows what they are talking about without all the extra drama/hype. Most people can see right through a person like that and how fake they are.

Nick is a pain in the ass and doesn't take no for an answer. The dude spams here and sends out PMs acting like he's not trying to recruit you.

that's most likely him posing as "Chad"
