Correct Way to Handle Old Leads

These leads are still pretty new for aged leads and if you door knock them, you will make sales. Did your manager really just hand you a stack of leads with no direction? I am betting he didn't do that at all. The last thing any manager with any common sense would do is hand you valuable, aged leads, and not give you some sort of direction as to what you should do with them. I'm betting you already know what to do with those leads, and you just need some motivation. Door knocking is an art and it can be very intimidating when you first start doing it. Push through the fear and get inside. My Aged Lead Script is attached below

You do that so well!!!

Do you really door knock on a lead that is just about a year old and show them the lead card that says June 2014 lol? What methods do you guys use?

Of course.

If you feel uncomfortable that people will bring up the month/year, show them your big stack of leads and let them know it's impossible for you to keep up with demand.

They will be more at ease since you're now just a reg. dude doing his job, and they'll realize your time is scarce, and woah everyone wants this, guess it must be the right thing to do.

If you have their phone number and they are not on the DNC, do you call first?

It just depends on what my gut tells me to do. If I call first I'll prob get more not interested, than if I door knock. We all know it's easier for people to say no on the phone rather than in person. But, if it's one lead and it's a long way from home, I might call.

I have had some people ask me when they sent it in. I just tell that I'm not to sure when they sent it in, but it reached my desk a couple days ago. I will start carrying the stack of leads with me though instead of just one paper, I think it does kind of give off the "everyone is doing it" vibe which is a plus lol.

I only called about 3 or 4, but then they give me the "ill call you back" or "we've already purchased", so I just show up.

Most vets just carry the one you need. But what's most important is that you're out there.

I just carry the 1 lead, but I can see the pros of carrying a bunch. You're right though, the most important thing is to get off the forum and go work :)

Personally I would think it makes a better impression to have several with you. First of all, people have a herd mentality. They want to do what everybody else is doing. Second, it gives the impression you are a busy agent with many people vying for your time but you have chosen to spend it with them.
