Designing Your Own Quote Software

I don't see why you would want to expand to all 50 states right now. You don't even know if your site will actually convert sales. Until you figure that out, I think you would be better off optimizing for your state first and only pay out the money to get non-resident licensing when you have perfected your conversions first.

You can still generate thousands of visitors a month from your state alone in most cases. I believe, by and large, the majority of buyers are searching by the state they are in, so that might be a much cheaper way to launch your site and test your conversions before you hit the big leagues.

Just a thought of course. You can always ignore it.

You are 100% correct. We are not waiting until all the non-resident licensing is done before we launch. Conversions and getting actual traffic isn't a problem I can assure you that.

Of course we want the site to convert sales, but it isn't like we won't have agents on the phones. A lot of people will want to talk to an actual agent before purchasing.

We are going with Quotit and Compulife. The quote we got for Norvax was three times the price of the Quotit. We also are working on nailing down some good pricing with EZlynx and their really nice consumer portal live.

Hi,

I'm new to the forum but I just wanted to say that EZLynx has lowered their price quite a bit. I've been really satified with them over the last 1.5 years. Never an issue and they keep adding new functionality without raising the cost....

I'd have to make sure the business plan includes a way to convert web visitors to buyers though, something e-surance, geico, progressive and others all struggle with, to the point they all added call centers.

Have you had success with this concept on a smaller scale, by success I mean converting visits to quotes to applications. I would think this would be very tricky to accomplish.

Three new posts...all touting EZlynx. Sheesh! They don't even do intoductions any more before they spam.

Can you send us your website link? Just curious of how it looked like. Any new updates about your decision?
