Direct Mail for T65, T66, or T67?

Now that the retirement age is almost 67, do you find more success with mailing T65, T66, or T67 for Medicare?

T67+ for me. So many people are retiring later in life. T67,68,69 is the new T65.
Caveat, NOT an agent.

Why limit yourself?

My non-agent working hypothesis would be that you are loosing out on future business AND possibly some referrals if you don't speak with T65 and T66 as well as the others.

Working people 65 and beyond need to understand their Medicare options even if they don't exercise them right at 65. (And they may not even know how badly they need to know.)

And not everyone T65 or T66 will be employed, AND I think I have seen posts here that imply Original Medicare may actually be better insurance than some group plans.

Your biggest problem with this would be me.

By the time you get around to mailing or calling them at 67, I've already come and gone at 65.

I could care less at what age they finally retire. I'm on them before they turn 65 regardless. By the time you get there, I've done all the work and they're with me.

Stick with 65

Ok, you make a good point, I have several clients who called me when they were T65 but didn't retire until later, yet they still called me when they were ready to go on Medicare...that always surprises me. I think I'm going to focus more on T65 & T66.

If there were a mailing list out there of people turning in their resignation post 65 we could be millionaires...

67+ retiring is always the absolute easiest sale, much less competition and (for some reason) seemingly less anxiety than the t65s.

Would be an interesting test to mail to people 6 month and maybe 3 months before their 67th birthdays
