I posted my resume on monster. I received an email from a supposed Aflac district coordinator, saying he was impressed with my background and was going to contact me in the next couple days about an interview. I just took a computer security class so I am weary about potential scams via the internet. What's bothering me is that the gentleman sent the email from his_name at qikmail*com, then at the bottom of his message it had his_name at us*aflac*com. (Asteriks are .'s, forum wouldn't let me post website names, at is @, obviously)
I looked up qikmail and it seems to be somewhat of an automated emailing system that hotels would use to contact their customers, which would make sense because maybe he was on his qikmail account by mistake when sending the email. Makes sense that he has one because he has insurance customers. But still, I am suspicious. Can anyone confirm that this is a legitimate practice? Thanks!
well I have to say that I received the exact same email from the same guy and I fill it is scam can anyone let me know what should I do because I sent my resume to his email. thanks.I put the email here
Hello M******,
I just found your resume on careerbuilder.com and I was impressed with your professional experience. I would like to set up some time for us to speak about your future job goals and maybe set up an interview?
Our company and job offerings may not be in the same vertical market as your current experience, but if you are looking for a change - your skills may be a perfect match for our company.
Can you provide a time that would be convenient for us to speak?
Thank you,
John Ford

Kimura, not sure about the Qikmail but the first_last@us.aflac.com would be a legit aflac address.
