E&O for agency...

My Wife is an indy agent and currently operates under her name (no biz name) as her business has really taken off last few months she is looking to create biz name, web site....


The question I have for you single agent agency owners is this-

Whe you create an agency and register with state do you now need to have agency E&O?

Huge price difference and Wife is not looking to hire any one.

You might. My state wanted to see the Agency name on the E&O or a surety bond.

Most E&O will add your company name to the cert at no charge. Call and ask them.

Even without staff you would be crazy to sell without E&O.

Without a big legal team to back you up, and no E&O you are just asking for trouble.

Just my 2 cents.

Plus I never understood how an agent could be successfull selling something they themselves did not have, or believe in.
