Expected Commisions?

LifeVet - I spoke with you last week and referred you to Newby after listening to what you're looking for. It surprised me to read your comments and I feel the need to respond to your "putrid" FE comp remarks.

You must have called Pinney directly after our conversation (since I didn't send you a comp grid). They put all new agents at an entry comp level until the first few cases are submitted and then they'll revisit....unless there's proof of production.

With that said, Pinney isn't an FE specialist which is why I referred you out.

I should mention that Pinney supports a few FE carriers on the EZlife system which many phone/internet agents love. All they need to do is submit a 1 page online application and we do the rest (e-signature, submission, processing). For the "high volume" internet agents, it's worth it. For everyone else, it's not and that's why I refer FE business out.

I know you want to sell online and over the phone, so take Newby's advice above and get started with those 4 companies.

Jeff,

Pinney does have great commisions on term and permanent. You are
correct about the FE aspect with Pinney. I talked with Tony a few hrs before
regarding FE.

You were great to talk with I and enjoyed my conversation with you! You
are the guy to turn to for "term on the phone." Our paths may cross again
for the website!

I also enjoyed talking with Scott(Newby)....definately a guy to talk with for your FE business. I'm gonna talk with him again in near future.

Pinney has everything an agent could want.....and If your an agent looking,
conatct JRoot.

Tony works for me. He is my screener and onboards new agents and walks them thru their first few cases. I hired him to do so because I am bombarded with agents that want to talk comp before any business has been submitted.

Most agents I talk to cannot put their money where their mouth is and will waste exorbitant amounts of time trying to get all the services we offer and get very high contracts--with production not being submitted/proved prior to.

I changed my process to put all new contracts on a fixed rate until I see 5 cases. 5 cases is a good indication of whether I am working with $400 AP cases or $5000 AP cases etc. I give bumps to those that deserve it, and reduce those that don't. Our system does not work for everybody, and we have said thanks but no thanks many times with agents. What I find is agents try to do it all themselves because they see 125%--they ultimately fail in large numbers. Most are not wired to do paperwork, order exams, provide a seamless customer experience etc. We provide those things, and pay very fair. Working with me is like having a staff of 100 that you don't have to pay.

wino--have our agency underwriters saved or won you a case? One of many services, that we staff for and give to our agents.

Those reps that come to me and on the first call want to talk high comp numbers, I say thanks but no thanks. Referencing Wino--he is a vet, he gets it...he gets very high numbers elsewhere, and yet we are earning more and more of his business because he sees value and efficiency with us he doesn't get elsewhere.

That all being said, we are not a FE shop. We have 15+ FE carriers and yet you will probably never see a marketing communication from us in the next couple of years. We are in the midst of integrating our FE quoter and drop ticket processes into EZLife, but even so--we do fulfillment of the business and will not being working for free. Newby is your guy for FE, period...end of sentence.
