Finding Producers

Jordan was third. I can't remember the other player that went before him.

You know those two teams were kickin theirselves in the rear a few years later.

They aired that years draft on the NBA channel a few days ago, Akeem went first overall. None of the commentators batted an eye or even made a second mention that Jordan was passed over twice.

Olaijawan wasn't that bad of a pick. Better than Bowie, but passing over Jordan was a huge mistake. If only they had a crystal ball. :-)

The Rockets won two championships with Olaijawan but unfortunately both were when Jordan was off playing baseball.

I'm looking to hire someone in the upstate of SC if anyone knows someone. Craigslist has produced nothing. Linked In has not worked well either and I hoped it would.

Have you tried posting the position on Career Builder and Monster? You could also review resumes and call prospective agents. I keep my resume up and get about 2 calls a week from insurance agencies/companies for positions, usually lower than what I'm doing or captive but I'm sure they fill those positions.

You could also consider calling the nearest college to talk with business professors about interns, if you're paying and they're getting credit they'll work hard for you.

For free?

You could keep posting where you have been, but generally you get what you pay for.

What do you have to offer that agents won't get anywhere else?

You could develop relationships with sales managers at captive insurance companies and pick up some of the agents that are going to fail out or quit. You could even start just by offering to make a professional alliance as a p&c agency for your local New York Life office. They tend to have a lot of agents for a short time and a few agents for a long time. The long time agents will send you leads and the short time agents will be looking for work. An agency where they can save people money on car insurance rather than alienate their friends may be a good move for them. And, when they've gotten back on their feet they can jump back into life sales for you too.

I have a small P&C agency in GA and have not been able to find producers. Want to keep it 100% commission but pay an above industry commission %. Will provide some leads and offer marketing tools as well. Sell commercial only.

Anyone have any ideas other than the newspaper?

Thanks

What companies do you have to offer?
