Good California FMO

I'm looking for a good California FMO (especially Southern California) who doesn't ask for assignment of commissions. I'm concentrating on Medi-medi or duals. Anyone knows what's a good agency who really helps its agents?
Chris Copeland with Copeland Group! I know they work with the duals and the projects.

Copland is NOT A CALIF BASED FMO.
Your experiences with them could certainly be different but I and others (some of whom are stronger producers than me) have found the San Antonio and Corpus Christi regions to be a joke. They over promise and under deliver. It's difficult to get a returned phone call, as an example. One friend of mine was promised free office space AND exclusive marketing for the Wellmed clinics. Zip zilch nada.

After I left them, I fought for a year and a half to get $ that they owed me, which they finally did.

I attended a Health Net seminar @ 1 month ago and was told that Medi-Cal is proposing to NOT ALLOW agents to enroll the Duals in their Managed Care program, which is slated to go into effect no sooner than Sept, 2013.

There are 2 HCP companies in L.A. County--Health Net & L.A. Care. They have "subcarriers" in Kaiser, Care 1st & Molina.

Besides, the Dual program in So. Calif is difficult.

---Too many non-speaking English (Spanish & Asian)
---Kaiser dominates the Los Angeles County MA market with more than 5 times the new signups (Ritter Marketing has a breakdown)
---Low return on "qualified" leads that are actually "duals" (almost 50% of leads are not eligible).
---Gov. Brown wants to add Dental to Medi-Cal beneficiaries which takes away an agents most important new benefit to the Dua.
ls

Just where would $ come from for state to provide dental benefit. As it is now, they only cover emergency dental. I would agree that that audience usually doesn't read much and hard to get to

. There are a lot of goody two shoes socialist types that don't expect the medi-medis to sacrifice anything. I hope that financial responsibility wins put this time.

Yes, I have personally had a different experience with Copeland! I came over to Copeland 3 years ago after being screwed over by several other FMOs. Which I still have not received all my money.
I came over solo and now am a SGA and we have been truly blessed! Copeland has helped get us exclusive in clinics. We also work dual projects with Molina and Amerigroup that are not open to independent agents.
I personaly had a meeting with Amerigroup and Molina because the demonstration with duals is coming to Texas in January. Only select agents will be able to work it and we are hoping to win that spot thanks to Copeland. They are working with it in California and kicking a**!
Yes, Copeland is based out of Texas. But, they have offices in every state including Hawaii. They are one of the largest FMOs in the United States.
I may have just been lucky! I know it just works that way sometimes.

Copeland brought our agency exclusive deals with Amerigroup and Molina. Select agents get to work duals projects here. We are proving ourselves hoping to win the opportunity to be a part of the demonstration that is coming to Texas January 2014.
I had a meeting recently with Molina and Amerigroup to be apart of the demonstration that is headed my way. That was due to Copeland because Chris is working those demonstration projects in California. They are kicking a.. out there!

Give me an email, I work for an FMO and we have offices in Southern California that will offer you training and other things. We don't hold your commissions or contracts captive so if you ever want to leave you can leave with your book of business.

There have been a couple of "experts" saying sales of duals is basically dead.

Between myself and my son, we wrote about 25 in the past 45 days.

Don't let people who have failed turn you off to sales to duals.

Rick

We all like T65 sales but they over marketed. Only 1/3 of our MAPD sales are T65 during lock in.
My agency started focusing on duals several years ago when most agents in our area did not want to deal with them. Mainly due to higher maintenace and over turn. More for me!!
Our strong agents close between 30 and 40 duals a month. Although you have more overturn, we have been pleased!

Are you in Texas or Alabama?

Rick,
Which D-SNP plan offers the most "freebies" to a Medi-Medi?, ie, free dollar amount of comprehensive dental, glasses, transpo, OTC catalog?
Thanks.
