GPM Secure Mark 4

If anyone has actually written a case with current cancer treatment please post.

They could have been diagnosed yesterday, rec'd Chemo today and you write them tomorrow... in which case you would check 'Yes' to question 28 c; and circle 'internal cancer'. I've never had one turned down. I have had several where the PI answered 'No' to all questions and were actually receiving treatment for a form of cancer and they offered GDB as an alternative at the higher prem. There is no spoof here, it is fairly cut and dried, just as you are reading the question.

Now, you aren't able to use them as your fall-back for all your cancer or other GDB cases only and submit your clean business elsewhere, for obvious reasons. There is some ratio there to guard against that, but if you are writing business regularly with them, a good mix of business, I doubt you would have any problem with ratios.

May be cheaper to go with a GI product.

First off, why would you want to place yourself into the chg back dynamic of a GI product...? I'll pass. I walk away from GI cases because I don't want to hold the ins cos money for a period of time only to be asked for it back in an unpredictable manner. Oh, and what does GI pay for comm; and renewals...? GPM GDB pays the same comm rate as level.

Comparing rates for a F 60 between Gerber and GPM, the n/s rate for GPM is lower by $ 3+ and the smoker rate is higher by $ 4, (10K covg). If they want insurance as opposed to a savings acct, this one is pretty easy. M rates are a different matter, GPM apparently doesn't like the risk model there on the M as the spread is in favor of Gerber for the n/s rates slightly and smkr rates in a big way. GPM is talking with their rate book saying they do not want M smkr's on the GDB product, probably smart.

Back to the chg back situation, do you want to be holding that comm on a 60+ yr old smkr with ca...?

To add to what Sportsnut says...

If you have SNL & GPM, you can cut down on your overlal GI use by A LOT....I very rarely have to use Vantis now. Of course if u live in a heavily smoking populated area, its harder to justify the MUCH higher premiums, but I only run into about 20% of smokers.

So GPM will take cancer graded? I thought I read their app and it said they had to have a job for graded? Am I thinking of the right company?

And why SNL? And who is SNL again?

What about these two companies specifically cut down on your GI business?

Security national life

Ok that's good. But why will those two companies cut down on your GIs?

GPM will take heart & cancer issues graded....and their pricing isnt bad for non smokers. SNL will take kidney dialysis, oxygen, MS, Alzheimers, Demenia, COPD & CHF, etc ROP and their NS pricing is good too, even cheaper then Vantis at younger ages. As u get into the older ages (or smokers), it may be a bit much (males over 70, females over 75, etc), so you can still carry Vantis or another GI for those situations.

But unless theres a huge diff, over $15 or so....I will not put stuff with Vantis & take on all the risk. If SNL cost $9/mo more, I feel Im worth that, and I dont take the risk & get paid close to 100%. With GPM, their comp is exactly the same as level....but their graded doesnt like ppl on oxygen, alzheimers, CHF or COPD or dialysis. Use GPM for heart issues, cancer & strokes!

It's kind of crazy that they take cancer but not oxygen. The heart attack is nice but no heart failure. I don't think anyone but GI and LH take heart failure.

So SNLs ROP, is it 2 year ROP like vantis, but just better comp? But obviously it's not a true GI right?

Right.... Neither is a GI, there's some questions & wt/ht guidelines with SNL.

Using both will probably cover 75-80% of scenarios, which puts A LOT more $$ in your pocket.

Correct, it's not a true GI. GPM Life will take cancer with 30% first year, along with most other med issues that cause many agents to go GI for their clients. I have tons of business with them over the past few years. Good agent support and customer service. Only drawback is they call the next day for the phone interview. They only leave 2 messages before the applicant has to call them back. That's when it gets tricky for the agent. You have to chase them down, sell it again, and get them to call GPM for the interview before you leave, again.
