In certain circumstances, yes, it does. Lives are at stake in healthcare.
Answer the question; is deciding who gets life saving treatments based on race good? Funny? What?
Do you just not believe that was happening? If I showed you it was, would it change your mind?

No, socialism is socialism. I don't like socialism, but all the other things I don't like aren't socialism. I absolutely understand socialism.
When the Vice President explains that "equity" means making sure everyone "ends up in the same place," what does that mean to you?

She explained it essentially the same as I did;
"To me, equity is defined as getting us to equal outcomes for whatever color, gender or sexual orientation you have."
My mind goes to socialism because that IS socialism. My mind goes to race because that's exactly what they're talking about. Duh.
I give the example of race-based distribution of life-saving treatments based on race because that literally just happened and it's unconscionable and the explicit plan is for MORE of it.
What aren't you getting, here?
The funny part of this is that equity does not guarantee that everyone ends up in the same place.
How the heck is the fact that black women die more frequently than white woman while giving birth and trying to fix it socialism?

The fact alone doesn't. But the idea that we should make policies about distributing resources in order to ensure equal outcomes for all groups IS socialism.
Its actually not life saving treatments. Its not that docs aren't giving black women what they need.
Its that they aren't trained on the genetic differences and looking for different outcomes based on race. Which is stupid.
I'm Armenian from my dad. (WASP, DAR and DRT from my mom.) Which means based on genetics, I needed to be tested for Tay-Sachs but because I am not "Eastern European Jewish" no one thought to test me and I had to bring it up. That's a training issue for docs.
My first child was born in San Diego. Which means she was immediately tested for TB. That's based on geography.
None of that is Socialism. Its training. Its guidance based on the facts. Its Equity based on the melting pot.
