How Did I Wind Up on The Clark Howard List?

I run my business off of Referrals. I don't cold call. I don't buy leads. I don't hire telemarketers. I do speaking engagements, visit Financial Planners and the like, and volunteer at Job Seeker meetings.

That has served me well, and provided me with a constant stream of business over the past 13 years. (actually, for the first two years I did cold call and buy leads)

So, imagine my surprise when I get the following message:

"Bob, I'd like to buy some insurance from you. Please call me at XXX-XXX-XXXX."

So I call back. Find out it is for Health Insurance (which I don't do anymore), and when I ask him who referred him to me, he said, "I got your name off the Clark Howard list."

First off, I never knew there was such a thing.

Secondly, I never signed up for anything on the geek's website or show page on We're So Boring.

How did I wind up there?

Where is it?

Will I get other calls from it?

How do I get my name removed?

you must of bought or signed up for something from another vendor and ended up on someone's "Sucker's List".....

Don't even attempt to sell an annuity though....Clark thinks those are evil instruments of the devil.

Next time there is someone from CT looking for insurance I will give them your name & number.
