How Do FMO's Get Paid if I'm Independent?

For whatever it's worth,... a few years back I had my UHC contract with Kellog. After about a year or so of being with them I requested a release and got it with no issues.

So if I get paid my commission directly from the carrier this means that I own my book of business from day 1 correct? And there is no way any FMO can get my renewals? I Just have to make sure I do things right this time

That is correct.

I heard Las Vegas is a tough market to crack. Search for Insurance Concepts Cindy. She knows that market well. Maybe she can give you some pointers.

Don't do that to her. I've been waiting for 5 days for him to call me as he said he would and I suspect others have reached out as well. If he doesn't want actual help we're just wasting our time answering a gazillion questions here.

But rick.

Can you define gazillion?

How would you profit from the phone call?

Should he be concerned about DNC issues if he calls you?

What are the ramifications of getting advice across state lines?

I just want to say thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. Your help is greatly appreciated and once again i apologize for all of the questions. But you guys have definitely given me a better understanding of how all of this works. Thanks again!
