How Do You Track Leads & Clients

For those of you who write a decent amount of individual policies each year, how do you keep track of all of your leads? I'm curious to know if there is system or better way of managing leads as well as current clients.

My Setup:
Salesforce.com -> Enter all new leads into salesforce as well as notes on health conditions and referral source.

Quotit -> I click a button in Salesforce to bring up the plan selection page in the broker back end to create a quote and email to client (This also adds them to the Quotit database)

GBS -> our Agency uses GBS on the group side for group clients and commission tracking, etc. Also handles my individual commissions.

There's not a do-all system to fit my needs of not only quoting, but also keeping good notes and record keeping on leads that i can report on for business goals and tracking. Does anyone have a good system they use that helps for client follow-ups, yearly renewal notices, etc? I'm always looking for ways to be more efficient!

Interesting...

Frank - You're system is a replacements for GBS right? Not an add-on?

Maybe I'm just spoiled with the internet and computers. I've been doing this about 3 years now and so I'm dependant on the technology aspect of things (Quotit, Norvax, online applications). Our founder has a 8 year old IBM paperweight on his desk that has never been turned on. I practically write quotes on my iPhone...

I don't know if it will suit your needs but it definitely is not even remotely a part of GBS.

My best suggestion is to click on the link at the bottom of this post. The demo is free and is the full-working version of the program.

If you have questions please give me a call.

What line of business do you write off of your iphone?

That was intended to be more of an expression than anything. I could literally run quotes through quotit if necessary. As for 'writing' business - so far it's still online apply's through quotit/norvax and paper apps. Although at the pace BCBS seems to be keeping up with the tech game it may not be but a few more years and the'll have "an app for that".
