Independent Agents in P&C ?

Hi everyone! Is there such as thing as being an IA in the P&C World?

I ask because I would love to sell Pet Insurance all day every day, but most carriers (Trupanion, Fetch etc) don't have an obvious way to become appointed, like you would if you were a Health Agent with UHC or similar.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

I asked my upline the same question,but they told me you can lead a dog to water but you can't make him eat a bone

Yes. Many P&C carriers offer this as a product within their portfolio including Nationwide and Safeco.

Concord Group Insurance (located on the Northeast) also has a Pet Insurance product or partnership, similar to Safeco/Nationwide that AdvisorsIns mentioned above
