Is There an Account and Routing Number for Direct Express? ?

What makes them worth writing over a rated company? Not that most FE companies are even A rated. I am assuming they must have something that FE guys see as a strong advantage.

I am not planning on writing them, just seems like they are becoming the latest darling.

Edit : nevermind I see it, the Direct Express Card.

Well, they aren't in Calfornia, so there is your first problem.

Just another FE company with decent rates, ok underwriting and they take DE cards and can do Wednesday drafts.

Good rates. Take the DE card. That's the main thing. They are Family Benefits Life in some states, Trinity Life in others.

They do seem to have a clue about the FE market where others do not. See Layfayettee Life. They have an FE offering but they are clueless about the FE market.

Oh yeah, Trinity does have a lead credit thing. 5% of ap I think it is?

Thanks. I have never written a direct express but I imagine I may need to. Seems there are stronger options you guys have mentioned. Not as strong as JR's "will not write below an A" but if I have other options I tend to lean that way. I have a book of Oxford so not saying I have not or will not. Just prefer not to.

But thanks for the answers.

While I do not have your 59 States I do have a dozen or so. :-)

I used to say I wouldn't write below an A rated company. Travis convinced me otherwise. Especially if the company has a POS interview. That's CYA thing that I hadn't thought about.

I still don't write Oxford because they have that previously declined question on their application.

That's pretty much a deal killer for me. I would write them anyway if they happened to be the best fit for the client even though they have that on there.

I've just never run across that situation where they were the best option.

Coming from the traditional side writing an A rated company was hard enough. I understand that most SiWl {FE} companies are lower at A— . The old Oxford super low rates and easy issue, admitted company had me justifying writing them. However, with their raised rates and poor, In my opinion, customer service they are out of my offerings as well. Even if they were the lowest carrier out there, I do not need to be the lowest.

With Trinity being so small that no ratings would be a concern for me. That and only being a year or two older than my youngest kid who is a freshman in high school does not give me the warm an fuzzys
