I just signed up for the NetQuote trial offer... $250 worth of Free Leads with a 90 day commitment. I chose the $10 preferred health leads and limited myself to 1 zipcode so I can keep the costs down initially while I test drive their service. The rep told me that there is only 1 other agent in the zip code I chose (yea right!) but my plan is to test them with the 25 $10 leads, and if they stink, change to the $3 leads and ride out the balance of the 90 days then bail.

This is my first time I am trying internet leads, but I thought I should try it just to get a taste of this side of the health sales biz.

Anyone else ever use NetQuote and your results please.

Also, feel free to add your favorite internet sales lead company (agents only please).

Thanks,
Al

As a newbie I had a an agent who would send me netquote leads. The leads were at a minimum six months old. I'm guessing those are the 3$ leads. If that's the case I would say that a newbie needs 100+ to make a decent wage working the $3 leads. I didn't stay with the guy long enough to do the $10 leads. Eventually I went captive. Incidentally, there are a ton of posts dedicated to the whole netquote, as well as the other lead programs. Just do a key word search.

somarco: Unless they have changed, the $3 leads are uninsurables sold to 3 agents.

Yes, the $3 leads have at least 1 risk factor... if they are uninsurable, well I will keep the lead flow at the $10 preferred. I figure, at worst, I should sell enough to at least recoup my costs.

Thank you, I know there are other threads and posts on this subject and I have read them all. However, I wanted more input, so this is why I started another thread.

I have read alot about the bad or inferior companies, but not much has been posted about the companies that actually provide an exceptional source of good quality leads, are fair and priced resonably... am I to assume that all internet lead companies are pretty much a crap shoot?

I know internet leads are highly competitive, and I am happy with the self generated telemarketed leads I am presently working. I feel like I should have an alternative lead source, but I have zero experience with the internet lead companies. Internet leads are just one area I am researching.

Anyway, more input is being solicited here... Thanks to all who respond.

I have used NetQuote for many years. I am usually competing with about 5-6 other people. The out-of-state guys from Health Benefits rarely quote an accurate rate.

Quality is pretty good. I negotiated a lower cost...presumably because of the volume of leads purchased and length of time with them.

Stay away from those $3 leads. If you must must purchase that type of lead...try LeadsClearance.com.

Hey Chumps, How many leads did you need to buy for NetQute to entertain a negotiated price for their leads and would you care to share how low they would go?

Actually, no. It's part of a larger company. But you're not missing anything because NetQuote was just put on our "restricted" list. Essentially, that means we can't use them any more. I'm not sure why, but I'll find out.

You can negotiate a lower cost with NetQuote once you have been with them for a while. You'll probably have to buy at least 100-150 leads per month though.

The overall quality of NQ leads (as well as other companies) has noticeably diminished over the last year or so. In addition, many (including NQ) have raised their pricing to the point of being ridiculous.

At one time my return on leads was $7+ to $1; lately it has gravitated more toward $5 to $1 which is still good but I must work harder and pay more to get the same results as before.
