I have an individual license in NY (non-resident). I now have a resident brokers license in NY for my agency. My question is, do I need to maintain my individual license in NY now that I have the entity license ? Are there any benefits for maintaining both ?

Thanks!

I would keep the individual license. From what I've read, in order to do business under the entity license, you have to be a named sub-licensee. In order to be a sub-licensee, you have to have an active license.

Keep it.

You need to maintain an individual agent license in NY as well. Broker licenses in NY are not allowed to get appointed with insurance carriers....i just went through this a few weeks ago.

If I take the classroom course do I need to take the same exam as I would if I did the self study?
