LIS - Extra Help - no SS?

Ahh a fun one!

I suggest you have them set up an appointment with Medicaid and get a caseworker. She may qualify for Medicaid based on her health, if she has certain conditions and High RX costs. Medicaid will consider the cost of the RX and "spend down" that portion of the income. She may go full QMB and that would qualify her for a Dual plan. IF she gets medicaid and medicare she would not need a Medicare Supplement as all of her Medical costs would be covered, her drugs would drop considerably in costs as well.

I would have them get a print out of all RX purchased this year, as well as all Doctors, Specialists, Lab Work, etc. They want to bring everything with them to the appointment. (I would include even the items they are receiving at no costs)

You can qualify for Medicaid due to health issues as well as income.

In NY we have EPIC elderly pharma program helps pay for drugs, and if they make a lot they pay a monthly fee to be in program and they still save a ton on their drugs because it caps their copay.

Also with medicaid here we have what we call a "medicaid spend down" where they pay a fee for medicaid thus reducing their income to qualify.

last thing I do if these don't work is have customer contact the drug company, one of my customers was able to get help from the drug company on her MS meds

Plenty of them if one is under 65. Not for over 65 though. For instance, if under 65 you can qualify for Medicaid if you are bat**** crazy.

So someone 60 years old with $250,000 annual income can qualify? I don't think so.

Children, maybe. Adults, maybe not so much.

But I am still waiting for specific examples. If crazy was the qualification then many of the libtards in Congress would qualify.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant crazy enough to not be able to hold a job.

Depends on the state.

In Texas, we don't care if you are bat shit crazy. If you don't work, you aren't getting any help.
