Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I recently obtained my P&C license and am exploring opportunities to grow in the industry. I came across Bolt Insurance and their Partner Portal, which seems to offer tools for referrals, quoting, and policy binding.

Before moving forward, I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience working with Bolt Insurance. Specifically:

  • How user-friendly is their platform for agents who are new to P&C?
  • Do they provide sufficient training and support to help agents succeed?
  • What are your overall thoughts on their system and how it handles customer interactions?
Any insights, advice, or personal experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time!

Best regards,
Helga Emines

It has been a LONG time since I used them - so its hard to say in 2025 terms. When I used them previously they were a Solid First option but quickly I needed to move on as they did not support a quick binding process nor a way to truly customize and or endorse policies.

It's helpful to know that Bolt was a solid first option when you used them, even if it didn't fully meet your needs long-term. I understand how important a quick binding process and the ability to customize or endorse policies can be for growing a book of business.

Would you say their platform has the potential to work well for newer agents who are just starting out? Or would you recommend looking for alternatives right from the beginning?

I really appreciate your insights—thank you again for your time!

Frankly I think you are looking about this sideways.

First off, What states / territories are you going to be writing in?
Does BOLT offer insurers that write in those states?
How many of them in the particular lines you would like to write?
Who are the top insurers that you want to write with and which vendors have access to share?

Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your perspective and would like to understand your viewpoint better. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "looking at this sideways"? I'm open to discussing this further and exploring any insights you might have.

I think you are looking at this the wrong way.

Access to the Correct Insurance Companies that can write the policies that wish to sell are the most important consideration.
Thank you for pointing that out—I really appreciate your perspective!

I completely understand that having access to the right carriers who can underwrite the policies I want to sell is crucial. Based on your experience, does Bolt Insurance provide sufficient access to a variety of carriers and products for personal insurance? Or would you recommend another platform that offers broader or better access?

I'd love to hear your thoughts as I continue evaluating the best options for my business.

Sure seems like you are conversing with a bot
