New Agent Question

My friend works for a boilerroom type company where he says they must record all information while on the phone with a client and submit it with application for underwriting...he is interested in going independant but is confused because of this?? also he says that thier conversion rate on leads is 2%?? is this correct, thanx!!!

he want to leave because he says his split is 50% of one month premiuim, that sounds pretty low to me...any ideas??

That is very low and I don't see how it can be accurate. If he has the skills to sell in a "boiler room" surely he has skill enough to sell in a better environment. Not to mention the balls to make the cold calls necessary to succeed!

JE...Whatever you do...don't sign on with anyone too quickly. Check with some of the people on the Board that have built up some posts (maybe 100 or more) and are familiar with what you are looking for.

Well I told a fib about the 130%. THere are plenty of agents here that offer 115% FYC. Look in the Final Expense threads.
