I'm an agent with Southern Farm bureau and Texas Farm Bureau, I just wanted to know how to get more LTC leads with out buying them, I dislike buying leads and most agents agree with me that it's a waste of time.

Who should I market too and how should I approach them?

Join some organizations and get referrals.

No agent, in any product line likes to buy leads. But unless you have leads to work with, you'll most likely be sitting home and have no one to see.

For LTC, you can't call names out of a phone book.

Market to anyone ages 45-75 with assets and income. Just ask them, what if any plans have they made to address the high costs of long term care. Good luck.

Thanks! I'm sponsoring a few baseball teams in the next few months and getting involved in the community.

I have to ask, what is the best way to close on it? LTC. Seems to be something that people think about even LESS than life insurance

Jack already gave you the answer....just ask. LTC prospects mostly close themselves with the right questions. The sales process is pretty straightforward, either they want it/need it or they don't.

It is pretty hard to talk someone into buying LTCi when they don't understand why they need it.

Some people are bulletproof, after all.

Education, experience and expenses....the trifecta of the LTCi buyer.

Get some training on closing these sales from your upline and good luck.

There are two agents that are in my county that solely sell LTC, they only write P&C if it falls into their laps.

I can ask them, but (correct me if I'm wrong) aren't LTC customers usually excellent life customers too (if they don't already have it)?

LTCi specialists that write P&C? I don't run into that very often...

LTCi clients may or may not be excellent life insurance clients...it is really all about the need.
