No One Home at the VA Atlanta

Veterans and their families say the phone just rings when they try to call certain departments at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.

Jana James and her daughter Dawn Garten have been calling the audiology department at the Atlanta VA for more than 60 days to try to make an appointment to repair James’ husband’s hearing aids.

“Every other day, two or three times a day, different times of the day, trying to see if someone would pick up,” James said.

This is disgusting.

Have them get in touch with Patient Advocate. They also may be able to get it taken care of through Community Care (outside the VA and the VA sets it up. This is when care is taking too long {3 months} to get).
