For Pennsylvania, is an owner of an agency required to be licensed in all lines of business being sold through his / her agency, or just the ones for which he / she is actually writing. For example, the owner is licensed P&C, he brings on a Life guy. Does the agency owner also need a life license? Thank you.

I'm not certain, but I would imagine if you are acting as a supervisor/manager, you'll need to be licensed in each line you (or someone under you) plan to sell. Good luck!

If you are spiting commissions with the agency or if the agency is paying you the commission, the agency owner must be licensed.
