okay im 19 got my license in life & health
and im working on marketing strategies.
going into mortgage protection with mutual of Omaha
(1)contact local real estate agents and have them hand out your card
to new home buyers. as incentive i give them 25% of the sale if it leads to one.
(2)going to local court houses asking for a list of sold homes and going door to door,or finding a number to call first.
(3)offer the same deal to mortgage loan officers 25%if leads to sell.
what im thinking is this is business i wouldn't get and making an extra 200 bucks for giving a client my card isn't a bad deal at all.
does this violate any trade practice.

It's an older thread but I just couldn't resist answering your question with a question or two.
1) How does your state feel about sharing commissions with unlicensed people?
2) Don't you realize that Real Estate Agents and Mortgage Brokers are two of the most ethical careers out there?

My suggestion is to join a networking group. You won't have to do anything illegal while you build up your book of business. Your biggest asset should be independent p&c agents.
