Power Dialer: Vanilla Soft with CRM

This is really useful information.

Another question, do you scrub your list against do not call list? If so, what is a good way to do it?

I try to be helpful :)

I typically will have the list scrubbed before I get it, but rarely rescrub it. When the do-not-call registry first went live folks were getting added to it every day, but at this point if anyone is going to go on the DNC list, they're already on it. Not to say that it won't happen, but personally I don't rescrub it. You may be surprised by the number of agents that ask for and work lists that aren't scrubbed.

My advise: You really should scrub your lists every 30 days if you are keeping it for a long time. When we pull a list for someone we scrub it initially. That list would be good for 30 days.

Josh, is right in the sense that very few people get added to the DNC each month HOWEVER, I would still strongly advise scrubbing again to be safe. Reason being is there are Attorneys out there that purposely bait people into making one mistake, and then sue them for a living.

Its not something that is new, it happens all the time (in fact just read about a guy in the mortgage industry had it happen to him). Even if you feel your dialing compliantly and you get sued, it is still going to cost you money to fight it and or settle which can be a big headache I'm sure. In fact with my dialer service we double protect our clients. We have real time DNC scrubbing built in the dialer to keep every client of ours on the up and up as they dial. It does cost us a little more to have added that feature but we feel its well worth it for our clients as well as our own call center where our technology is used as well.

If anyone ever needs to scrub an old list and does not want a dialer, we do the scrubbing service for cheap. If you do need a dialer we scrub for free if you use ours and then of course its also scrubbed as you dial in real time.

Better safe than sorry folks!:)

Been having a lot of success with Voicent's Broadcastbyphone software. Actually tried it after reading a blog suggestion for a CRM idea in which you schedule the dialer to call customers once every 6 months just to check in. If a machine answers, the dialer reads it a message from me: Hi this is Ian calling to remind you ... (set your clocks back, or some seasonal message."

If the client answers, the dialer switches the call to me and I can speak to them in person.

To be honest, I don't have that process all set up yet, but I have been able to do prospecting calls with a list from the local Chamber.

It was easy to setup the dialer. Voicent has a free, unlimited trial and also includes a DNC scrubber for the fed list and for personal lists. They also sell an automated CRM tool but I haven't installed that yet.

I bought the $499 pro edition for a single line, but you can get multiple line calling for more. Still testing this out but its been pretty encouraging.

Good Advice.

Plus, if you are doing email campaigns there is a very interesting dude in CA that has found a legal way to blackmail you. I already had to pay this dude $500 to go away once!

So Be VERY careful if you do this type marketing & where you get the list from.

Reminds me of potential problems one might find with using Aged Leads. Know your data source, your/their legal liability or something might reach up & bite you!

With opt in email campaigns, you should NEVER mail without 100% can-spam compliance, and that means having the ip address the person opted in from, along with the date, a fully compliant footer, and a functioning unsubscribe link, and a non-misleading subject line.

Speaking of aged leads, we not only will DNC scrub aged internet leads for those who like those, but we can also take a pass at them through our call center for you on a 'per lead generated' basis.

Everyone's opinion may vary on aged leads, by IMO, aged leads (if from a decent provider) are some of the BEST leads, CPA wise, for most industries.
