Radio Ads

Ditto on tl's statement. Most company created/modified ads that I've ever used generated crappy response rates.

Mark...how can it be good for my business if it doesn't generate phone calls, sales, inquiries ?

In my biz...any marketing that doesn't generate sales/calls is a waste of "my" money. The rest of the market can do all the brand building, I'll stick with "direct response" that generates immediate revenue.


It is a tool, that can be used in the correct way. Just like those stupid tv commericals that I have stuck in my head.

If nothing else is is branding your name.

What I'm trying to say, is you can just say, hey call me to buy some insurance and think they will call you wanting a quote.

You have to go about it in the right way.

Offer them something like a free living will, free credit report, $1,000 free Accidential Death thing I"m offering, or something that will make them want to call you.

I had a radio ad for a coupon seminar that we did, that taught them there are 12 things you should never have to buy again, if you learn how to use coupons. Such as shaving razors and toothpaste.

I was able to stand up half way through it and talk about life insurance and my services. The radio ad just got them to show up.

I've made radio ads for my church and some other things.

Radio ads can work for you, if you use them correctly.

Ive had tons of people tell me that they heard me on the radio and it seems to help also.

Don't laugh, I know I sound funny. We all do on the radio.

But, since this is a local radio station in Griffin at the time, I paid like $300 for 3 1min ad a day for 90 days. This was on 92.5 the bear and also had an ad on the fish in Atlanta for like 5 times the price.
 
Mark you are right it's all about branding yourself. Most of the talk shows on the radio is about that. Dave ramesy, mortgage loan radio shows. Also if you can offer a policy review or other cool promo to get the prospect to call you.

Heck I used a guy from the radio to get me a mortgage loan and he was very good:laugh:
