Reduced Comp with Americo

Americo reduces comp a little for ppl 75-80 & reduces it a lot more for ppl 80-85. They are one of the few who reduce it before 80, SNL reduces it at 70 and more at 80 too. But the best (best comp that is) carrier to use for ppl over 80 is: Monu (no reduction) & Oxford I believe.

WRONG on Oxford. Its 90% after 80. I was going to write Monumental for an 81 year old, stepped outside and called Oxford (because I wanted POS approval)..they told me it's 120 all the way to 85. Get my commission...90%. Called and raised hell, to no avail. That's why I put them on probation in Feb. Lol. It drops to 90 at age 80.

Im not "wrong" per se, I didnt say it didnt drop...I said best, meaning by comparison to others, & most drop at 80. I just saw that Oxford doesnt drop as much as others. Am its not necessarily 90%, it depends on your contract, mines is (will be once I finish contacting paperwork) 100% after 80!

Sorry bout that...must have read you wrong...I'm sensitive to that one...it was a $2,600 AP deal..thus the reason I double checked. Big difference in 120 and 90.

If u like & can deal with UHL, I think they are another carrier, like Monu, that doesnt drop commish after 80....I personally think they suck though!

Americo, RNA & GPM really drop after 80, those are the ones NOT to use!

It was one of those deals that oxford was about $9/month less than monumental..so I wanted to double check on commish before recommending the company...too late now...I just get the satisfaction of knowing I saved the old dude $100/year..even if it cost me $650.

Curious, if your not writing am mem for over 80, aren't you giving them a worse deal?

At the risk of sounding like an LH groupie, price isn't everything in this business.

I personally do not want to get shellacked on comp at the tune American Memorial doles out, just because the guy's 80 or older.

I'll place those cases all day long with Transamerica if they can qualify, as I am not punished for writing an older person's case.

I'm going to save this for the next time I hear you say a word about LH or SL rates.

An 82 year old non-smoker female, 10k with American Memorial is 98.65/mo, 10k with Transamerica is $124.60/mo. That is about $25.95/mo. That is real money over a year. For a male the difference is $39.85 a month on that 10k.

Yes, American Memorial really kills you on your comp at those ages, but that is a serious premium difference.
