Hello,
I'm getting bored this time of year and trying some other ways of getting business. I'm running an ad on facebook talking about the fact that people MAY be able to change their medicare supplement plan. It references the recent increases in premium that most people have faced on that sort of plan. My thought was that a lot of people don't know that they can change medicare supplement plans in the middle of the year if they can pass underwriting.
A guy responded to the ad last night at 10:30pm, so I called him this morning. He answered all cheery, but as soon as I started talking he got all flustered and said he wasn't interested and hung up. I am not shocked at all by this happening, but I'm wondering what the best approach is with this type of situation. After he hung up I sent him an email showing a screenshot of me receiving his information and explaining what the ad was about and I attached a quote for a hypothetical plan G for 70 year old male in my zip code that shows the range of prices for the plan.
In my ideal world, these people would be calling me in an INBOUND call, so maybe I need to change my tactics. I'm used to talking to people who want to talk to me. Has anybody had any success with driving high quality inbound calls using facebook ads? At this point I am mostly just experimenting because it isn't crazy expensive and is a good way to test ideas.
Other than mail which I am already sending out, has anyone found good ways to drive high quality inbound leads to call you? The vast majority of my business has come from referrals, probably around 90%. The bad part about that is that there is only so much you can do to control when they come in and I would like to stay busy and productive more often.
