Should I try this?

I have been working with an agency since 1993. Lots of agents have come and went. They want me to run all of the orphan policies on the books. The commission is almost 50/50 if I do this. They have over 5000 orphan policy holders. It is a big commission cut but tons of activity. Would you guys do this?

If i was still building and If I got 100% of non orphan business including renewals. As in Mrs Garcia's referral to her sister. Yes.

Assuming I got full access to the file and agent notes.

Of course I would try to negotiate a higher split.

Also I would keep my own CRM so that the next guy was not selling my clients 5vyears from now.

I have worked hundreds if not thousands of orphans.

Yes. I would have to own all of the business I generated from the orphans like that.

And I would want more than 50% of the others.
