Signing Up with an FMO As an Individual or in My Company Name

I am new to this but I am not sure if I should apply for my appointments in my name as an individual or in my corporation (S Corp) name. I would appreciate any advice as to the best route to take. Thanks in advance for any advice.

So why do you have a Sub S corp? If you get a corporate appointment, you'll still have to provide yoru info as master agent. Also, you'll still be liable as you'll have to sign the app.

I think, depending on your state, you also have to have a license with your business name on it.

Is your corporation licensed? If not, you'll need to do it individually. Even if your corporation is licensed, you might as well contract individually.

If you were trying to build an agency, with agents of course, then maybe at that point you would. But for now, you as an individual, there's really no good reason to, it will only end up costing you more money for licensing; both business and insurance licenses.

I have my answer I will signup as an individual. Thanks again for your input. This forum can be very helpful. Hope I can return the favor at some later date.
