Simplified Issue for Client Declined Due to Alcohol

I would recommend reapplying with full underwriting. At this point, you need to gather hard information that disproves whatever conclusions residing on the MIB. A blood draw can help do this. Specifically, you are testing for CDT in serum levels which would indicate chronic alcohol abuse.

Without a blood test, there is not nearly enough data to weigh against what's on the MIB.

I had a lady declined for "suspected" alcohol abuse over elevated liver enzymes. She told me they were full of it, that she only had a couple of drinks out with her friends every couple of weeks....later found out she lives in the bars seven nights a week.

Occasionally, not always, just once in a great while, people will tell little white lies.
