I have had an instance where a MA client has been in skilled nursing for 40 days.
Starting on the 30th day, the MA company started trying to terminate coverage claiming the client needs LTC. Every three days they make her appeal. So far she has won the appeals.
My experience is that most MA carriers will try to terminate everyone after a certain period of time whether justified or not.
Are there any carriers that are less likely to try to terminate skilled nursing?
